Breeding for Quality and Temperament.

About Us
Epona Farm began as a dream and a piece of raw
land. The Farm was named for Epona, the Celtic Horse
Goddess, revered throughout the Celtic world. We are
located in the rolling Pennsylvania countryside, just
minutes from Gettysburg. The Farm is home to our
small Irish Draught and Irish Draught Sport Horse
(IDSH) breeding operation and our Bernese Mountain
Dogs. Our goal is to breed athletic horses with
exceptional minds that the amateur can enjoy or the
professional can excel with.
Our first purebred came into our lives after seeing the
gorgeous Registered Irish Draught (RID) mare
Knockaderry Pearl. We went on to purchase her 2005
filly, Bridon Glenlaurel (now RID). Since that time, we
purchased our second pure bred, Bridon Dairilea, RID.
With their kind dispositions and beautiful conformation,
we have great expectations for our ID breeding program.
Our foals are handled daily from birth learning things
such as leading, loading, bathing and standing for the
farrier. Our goal is to expose them to as much as
possible to gain experience and confidence.
